The beauty of spring in Missouri was on display this week as I journeyed out for my fifth half marathon run of the year. I chose a familiar route for the May run, so I could focus on really noticing the new from the old. I ran Grants' Trail a flat paved run that weaves quietly through some great south county neighborhoods. It was a bit windy, but the second half of the run proved a bit more challenging. It was ultimately another run between 1:50-2:00.
During the run, I travelled a beautiful side path where I noticed a huge snapping turtle. I saw some great art work, a few hidden places filled with stories, the signs of the trail, and the incredible Clydesdales. What a beautiful day for the joy of running to shine through.
