Over the next month, this blog will feature excerpts and guest posts surrounding my latest book, Leading Connected Classrooms- The Heart and Soul of Teaching and Learning. This book is designed for teachers, teacher leaders, and building leaders who are looking to bring excellence to the learning in their schools.
Connecting kids to their learning is of paramount importance to the work of building excellence in schools, but being this artist of learning takes courage. It takes someone who is willing to push back against the system, take positive risks for kids, and be willing to rise above the perpetual tug toward the median. This work can be exhausting. It can be draining both professionally and personally, but it doesn’t have to be. Like-minded educators from around the globe are embracing leading connected classrooms, and they are leaning on the wisdom of one another to build the most fulfilling of careers. They are finding new energy in this work, and a fulfillment of their desire to serve kids.
