To the Things You Can't Control

My week in Cancun had me in the mood to write some poetry and reflect. it was a welcome shift from my post for Leading Connected Classrooms, and it helped to restore the joy of writing.

I've had enough of you.

You suck me into your world that is grim and paralyzing.

You illustrate life as long cause, full of despair.

You couldn't be more wrong.

Life lived is life fully realized.

Today I control my attitude.

Today I control my experiences.

Today I live big without worry about the misery you peddle.

To the things you can't control...

Please find someone else.

Our relationship is over.
