Removing the Blinders

Each year Phi Delta Kappan (PDK) publishes their annual survey of public attitudes towards public schools. It is its 47th annual gathering of data. It is a great read to help us keep perspective about how education is viewed from the outside. It is really easy for us that work in schools each day to lose perspective about how our work is perceived. In a time when resources are scarce, it is essential that we glean wisdom from this data as we community with parents, friends, and family about what makes learning excellent today.
