When No One is Listening

In too many places of learning, folks are chasing the past with hopes that they can achieve in incrementally better ways on metrics that have long been proven that won't help kids. The research tells us that this is wrong-headed. The business community is begging for different outcomes. The societal needs are screaming for different, but we just continue to do more of the same. This work or lack of meaningful work is putting public education out of business because as we continue to do work that no longer matters, why should it matter whether we exist or not. Innovation is fun, neat, or an option, but the only way to avoid getting gutted by legislation or reality. It is time to listen to the winds of reality. They are blowing really hard these days.
